Dalayna Gardner

Director for the Ujima Living-Learning Community (LLC)

Dalayna Gardner (she/her/hers) joined Virginia Tech during spring of 2020 and serves as the Director for the Ujima Living-Learning Community (LLC).  Originally from San Diego, California, Gardner earned her undergraduate degree in Cultural Anthropology at the University of California, Riverside, followed by a Master of Science in Counseling and Human Development at the University of Rochester. In addition to administering the Ujima Living-Learning Community, Gardner works collaboratively with the Black Cultural Center to support the university’s diversity and inclusion efforts by developing services that support the academic, social, and cultural well-being of Black and African American students. Gardner enjoys traveling globally and learning about other cultures.
