Hey everyone! My name is Chyna Carter. I’m from Portsmouth, VA (757), and I am a junior here at Virginia Tech double majoring in Criminology and Political Science with a concentration in legal studies. On campus, I am the current Vice President of the Student African American Sisterhood (SAAS), a Peer Leader for the Ujima LLC, and a current member of the Momentous Mu Alpha Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc!

My name is Colin Roberts and I am a senior majoring in Psychology with a minor in Human-Computer Interaction. I am Ghanaian and Nigerian, but I grew up in the DMV area, Alexandria specifically. Outside of my classes I am a part of many organizations such as serving as the President of the Class of 2024, a Fall 2022 initiate and Director of Education of the Theta Iota chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, inc., Co-Director of Community Engagement for the Students of Hip-Hop Legacy, and Community Liaison for the Students of African American Brotherhood. When I am not partaking in my clubs, I am spending time with my friends, reading, DJing, or rewatching one of my favorite shows, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. 

Hello! My name is Gelila Dawet and I’m a sophomore majoring in Criminology from Lorton,
Va. Some organizations I am a part of on campus are the Black Student Alliance where I serve as the Administrative Assistant of Live Entertainment and the Eritrean-Ethiopian Student
Association where I serve as the Philanthropy Chair as well as a member of the dance team. This year I will also be a Peer Mentor in the Ujima Living-Learning Community. Some of my hobbies include taking pictures, listening to music, and traveling. A fun fact about me is that I was born
in Dallas, Texas. 

Hello! My name is Hudeeja (Huh-dee-jah) Ijaz and I am currently a second year student studying architecture. I was born and raised in Fredericksburg, VA. In my free time, I enjoy painting, drawing, and gardening. Some organizations that I am involved with include the Muslim Students Association, National Organization of Minority Architecture Students, as well as American Institute of Architecture Students.

Hi there! My name is Jenna Helm, and I am from the small yet charming town of Fredericksburg, Virginia. From doing everything possible in that city, I learned to appreciate the simple things in life and the importance of perseverance. The unique upbringing I experienced as a lower-class Latina makes me reminisce often and appreciate all I have now. In my free time, I enjoy pursuing my hobbies, such as art, fashion, and writing, and I hope to incorporate these passions into my career. While at college, I miss my mom's cooking the most when it comes to food, especially her Venezuelan arepas. Spending quality time with my loved ones is what motivates me to keep pushing forward. 

My name is Myles Johnson, and I am a second-year student from Gaithersburg, MD. I am majoring in Cybersecurity, management, and analytics. On campus, I am a mentor in the Pamplin Undergraduate Mentoring Program, and I am also a member of BSA and SAAB. In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with friends and staying active by going to the gym and playing sports.
