Please note registrations received after 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 19 will not be included on the printed participant’s list.
A la carte tickets for the Saturday Spring Game Tailgate and the Saturday Black Tie Gala Dance (after awards celebration) will be available until we reach capacity.

Planning has begun for the 2016 Black Alumni Reunion. Your reunion chairs are alumni Ellis Savage '80, Lisa Ellison '86 and Wayne Robinson '80. The success of this reunion depends on the input and efforts of alumni like you.
Descriptions of general committee responsibilities are below. Committee chairs are responsible for scheduling committee meetings, ensuring the completion of necessary steps for events/responsibilities and reporting to the Reunion Coordinating Committee (RCC) during RCC meetings. Committee members will be expected to participate in monthly conference calls as needed, to determine a plan of action and next steps. Members may also need to plan time to meet in-person, during or prior to the reunion, in order to rehearse or adequately prepare for reunion events. There will be a committee meeting on the Friday preceding the Black Alumni Summit.
Communications Committee - Juanisha Brooks has agreed to chair this committee. Those students and alumni working with Juanisha will be responsible for coordinating with university administration to develop a marketing and communications plan for flyers, blog posts, official announcements, tweets and other mediums.
Programming Committee - Cynthia Graddy has agreed to chair this committee. This committee will be responsible for determining the overall agenda for the reunion, along with creating the itinerary and reunion programs.
Awards Ceremony Committee - Lisa Thaxton has agreed to chair this committee. Through the chair, this committee will work with university administration to plan the awards ceremony, including venue and menu selection, program creation, awards ceremony schedule and script, and selection of speaker and master of ceremonies.
Gala Celebration committee – Duston Scarborough has agreed to chair this committee. This committee will work on planning the music and party events of both the dance room and the alumni jazz lounge.
Sponsorships and Giveaways Committee - Ellis Savage has agreed to chair this committee. The cost of the last reunion was approximately $18,000. While 20% of costs were covered by corporate and university sponsorships, the remaining costs were passed on to attendees. The work of this committee will be to seek and solicit enough donations, to make the reunion financially accessible to as many alumni as possible. In addition, committee members will be expected to solicit potential donations for volunteer and speaker gifts and giveaways.
Student/Alumni Networking Committee - Deseria Creighton-Barney has agreed to chair this committee. This committee will be responsible for working with university administration and students to plan the student/alumni networking event.
Sunday Spiritual Celebration Committee – Wayne Robinson has agreed to chair this event. Committee members will be responsible for developing the program.
