Tuesday, September 12: Commitment to Understanding

  • Visit the Cultural and Community Centers: American Indian and Indigenous Community Center (AIICC) Rm 122 Squires, LGBTQ+ Center (LGBTQC) Rm 312 Squires, Black Cultural Center (BCC) Rm 125 Squires, Intercultural Engagement Center (IEC) Rm 150 Squires, El Centro Rm 309 Squires and Asian American Cultural Center (AACC) Rm 140 Squires

  • Dr. Marybeth Gasman  Campus-Wide Lecture 1:30 - 3:00 pm
    Holtzman Alumni Center Assembly Hall (Limited Seating) 

  • Learn about University Chartered Student Organizations (UCSOs) within the CCC: Asian American Student Union (AASU), Black Organization Council (BOC), HokiePRIDE, Jewish Student Union (JSU), Latino Association of Student Organizations (LASO) and Muslim Student Union (MSU)

Thursday, September 14: Commitment to Friendship

  • “Still Concerned” Teach In: 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm - Radical Social Justice Faculty Members Owens Banquet Hall

  • Visit the Women’s Center

  • Encourage students to visit Moss Arts Center art gallery

  • “Digging in the Crates: Hip Hop Studies at Virginia Tech Beat Battle and Music Production Workshop" - 7 pm in Newman Library Multipurpose Room

  • Invite a hallmate or classmate to lunch


Friday, September 15: Commitment to Others

  • “What do the Pylons Mean to you?” → library exhibit

  • Sunset Yoga on Drillfield: 6:30 pm

    Office for Inclusion and Diversity Open House 3 - 5pm


Saturday, September 16:

  • First Annual VTCC Day: 11:00 am - 3:00 pm Located on Drillfield and obstacle course ($5)
